6/24: Inbal Segev gives US premiere of Maximo Flugelman's Concerto w/ Lorin Maazel at Castleton Fest

Washington, DC — Cellist Inbal Segev, known for her “warm, pure and beautiful” tone (Strings Magazine), will give the US premiere of Máximo Flügelman’s Cello Concerto under the baton of Lorin Maazel at the Castleton Festival with the Castleton Festival Orchestra (7 Castleton Meadows Farms), on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2pm. The concert also includes Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 (“Titan”). The Castleton Festival is located 60 miles southwest of Washington, DC and 45 minutes from Charlottesville, VA.

June 12 & 15: Cellist Inbal Segev performs at Kreeger Museum June Chamber Fest w/ AC Players

Washington, DC — Cellist Inbal Segev, known for her “warm, pure and beautiful” tone (Strings Magazine) will perform with the American Chamber Players on Tuesday, June 12 at 7:30pm and on Friday, June 15 at 7:30pm at the Kreeger Museum (2401 Foxhall Road, NW) as part of the Museum’s June Chamber Festival. The June 12 program will include Kuhlau’s Trio for flute, cello, and piano, Op. 119; Roussel’s Trio for flute, viola, and cello; and Smetana’s Piano Trio and the June 15 program will include Dohnanyi’s Piano Quintet No. 1 in C Minor among other works.

Apr 29: Amerigo Trio in "Spirituality and Circumstance" at Rubin Museum's Resonating Light concerts

New York, NY — On Sunday, April 29 at 4pm, the Amerigo Trio will perform at the Rubin Museum of Art (150 W. 17th St., NYC) as part of the Museum’s Resonating Light concerts, a Sunday classical music series hosted by WQXR’s Elliott Forrest. The Amerigo Trio was founded in 2009 by violinist and New York Philharmonic Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, his wife violist Karen Dreyfus, and cellist Inbal Segev. The trio’s program, entitled Spirituality and Circumstance, is inspired by the Museum’s exhibition Illuminated: The Art of Sacred Books as well as its permanent collection and will include J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations (arr. for string trio by D. Sitkovetsky), Gideon Klein’s String Trio, Maurice Ravel’s Kaddish for solo cello, George Frederic Handel’s Passacaglia (arr. for violin and viola by J. Halvorsen), and Beethoven’s String Trio, Op. 9 No. 3 in C minor.

Mar 17: Amerigo Trio performs at historic Dumbarton Church, part of Dumbarton Concert Series

Washington, DC — On Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 8pm, the Amerigo Trio will perform a candlelit concert at the historic Dumbarton Church (3133 Dumbarton Street) as part of the Dumbarton Concert Series. The Amerigo Trio was founded in 2009 by violinist and New York Philharmonic Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, his wife violist Karen Dreyfus, and cellist Inbal Segev. Marking its Washington debut, the trio’s program will include Beethoven’s Serenade in D Major for String Trio, Handel’s Passacaglia (arranged by Johan Halvorsen), and Dohnányi’s Serenade in C Major for String Trio.

Nov 19: Amerigo Trio performs Young Persons' Concert, presented by Music for Youth

SOUTHPORT, CT — On Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2pm, the Amerigo Trio will perform at Pequot Library (720 Pequot Ave) presented by Music for Youth. This concert is part of the free Young Person’s Concert series. The Amerigo Trio was founded in 2009 by violinist and New York Philharmonic Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, his wife violist Karen Dreyfus, and cellist Inbal Segev. Their program will include selections from Beethoven’s String Trio in C Minor, Op. 9, No. 3 and Sibelius’ String Trio in G Minor. Presented in an interactive format and tailored to a younger audience (ages 5 to 15), the Amerigo Trio will share insights about its repertoire and details about its musical approach and technique.
