July 12 & 13: Guitar virtuoso Jason Vieaux opens New Hampshire Music Festival as soloist

Plymouth, NH— On Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13 at 8pm guitar virtuoso Jason Vieaux will open this year’s New Hampshire Music Festival as soloist in Foss’ American Landscapes at the Silver Center of the Arts’ Hanaway Theater (17 High Street) in celebration of the Festival’s 60th Anniversary Season. Led by Conductor Laureate Paul Polivnick, the program also includes Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3, and Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances Op. 46. Words on Music, a free pre-concert lecture series will begin both nights at 7pm.

June 3: Guitarist Jason Vieaux performs at 12th Annual Classical Guitar Weekend

Cleveland, OH—On Sunday, June 3 at 4pm, guitarist Jason Vieaux will perform at the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Mixon Hall (11021 East Boulevard) as part of the 12th annual Classical Guitar Weekend festival. Vieaux will perform with soprano Jun Eun Oh, and the program includes solo guitar and duet works by Britten and Dowland. Guitarist Anne Waller and Vieaux will also hold a master class on Sunday, June 2 from noon to 2:30pm at Mixon Hall. May 1: Guitarist Jason Vieaux performs w/ Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra in season finale

Santa Barbara, CA—On Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30pm, guitarist Jason Vieaux will perform at Lobero Theatre (33 East Canon Perdido Street) with the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Heiichiro Ohyama in the final concert of the season. Apr 22: Guitarist Jason Vieaux and Harpist Yolanda Kondonassis give an Earth Day Celebration concert

Cleveland, OH — Guitarist Jason Vieaux and harpist Yolanda Kondonassis will perform an Earth Day Celebration concert on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3pm, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church (2592 W. 14th St., Cleveland), presented by Arts Renaissance Tremont. Together they will perform Xavier Montsalvatge’s Fantasia for harp and guitar, Alan Hovhaness’ Spirit of Trees, and M. D. Pujol’s Suite Mágica. In addition, Kondonassis will perform Carlos Salzedo’s Song in the Night and Gershwin’s Prelude No. 2, and Vieaux will play Fernando Sor’s Variations on a Theme of Mozart.
