May 12 & 13: Robert Sirota's A Sinner's Diary is performed by the Chameleon Arts Ensemble

Boston, MA— Composer Robert Sirota’s A Sinner’s Diary will be performed by the Chameleon Arts Ensemble at the First Church in Boston (66 Marlborough Street) on Saturday, May 12 at 8pm and at the Goethe-Institut (170 Beacon Street) on Sunday, May 13 at 3pm. Also on the program is Schumann’s Frauenliebe und –leben with soprano Elizabeth Keusch, Enescu’s Impressions d’enfance, Judith Weir’s Sketches from a Bagpiper’s Album, and Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 67.

May 2: Met Museum marks 30th anniversary of historic organ w/premiere by Robert Sirota; FREE concert

New York, NY— On Wednesday, May 2 at 3:30pm, Robert Sirota’s holy ghosts will have its world premiere, performed by Victoria Sirota on the Appleton pipe organ in The André Mertens Galleries for Musical Instruments, North Balcony at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (1000 Fifth Avenue, NYC). Sirota’s new piece is commissioned by the department of Musical Instruments at The Metropolitan Museum, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the installation of the historic Appleton pipe organ at the Museum.

Apr 23 & 30: Robert Sirota's Clever Mistress & Theodore Wiprud's My Last Duchess - Symphony Space

New York, NY— On Monday, April 23, 2012 at 7:30pm and Monday, April 30, 2012 at 7:30pm, Robert Sirota’s The Clever Mistress (New York premiere) and Theodore Wiprud’s My Last Duchess (world premiere) will be presented in a double bill as part of the 15th anniversary season of the Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival at Peter Norton Symphony Space (95th St. and Broadway, NYC). These fully staged, one-act operas – a tragedy and a comedy inspired by two Renaissance stories – will be performed with a chamber ensemble conducted by Victoria Bond, artistic director of Cutting Edge Concerts, and will be directed by Tom Dulack.

Cancelation Notice: Robert Sirota's opera ISCARIOT at Trinity Wall Street in May is canceled

New York, NY -- The world premiere performances of composer Robert Sirota's opera, ISCARIOT, which were previously announced as being presented at Trinity Wall Street's St. Paul's Chapel as part of the Festival of New Music this spring, have been canceled as part of the institution's cutbacks to its arts programming which were announced earlier this month. The opera had been scheduled for three performances on May 25, 26, and 27, 2012. The performers were to have included members of the Trinity Choir with the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME). ISCARIOT was to have been produced by Beth Morrison Projects.

Nov 2: Premiere of Robert Sirota's Ecstatic Sunrise at Carnegie presented by La Gesse Foundation

NEW YORK, NY — On Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 8pm, composer Robert Sirota’s Ecstatic Sunrise will receive its world premiere at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall by members of the Catholic University of America Symphony Orchestra, David Searle, conductor. The eclectic program also includes works by Handel, Mozart, Prokofiev and Vanhal, and is presented by the La Gesse Foundation.
